How To Make A Plan Towards Sobriety

No matter whether you’re someone who consumes alcohol in excess engages in drug-related activity, or both – you can still take steps towards recovery. One effective way of doing this is by making a sobriety plan; creating this gives you the opportunity to not only stay on track – but keep tabs on your progress. In order to establish such, however, you must first follow a set of guidelines to help aid you in the right direction.

First and foremost is marking your calendar. When you do this you are more equipped – and/or prepared – for what is to come; in fact, this allows you an allotment of time so that you don’t risk feeling overwhelmed. You can even go as far as telling someone who you’re close to – and/or comfortable with – the date that you’ve marked. In doing so, they can help you along the way – and hold you accountable – which will help you be certain that you meet your goals.

In addition, make sure you pick a day that’s reasonable; in other words, you don’t want to choose one that is too close or too far and out of reach. This can actually serve as a setback – rather than a setup – by allowing time for your addiction to worsen. One example of this is if you schedule your “quit day” four months out; consequently – in that amount of time – anything can happen because addiction waits for no one. You’ll also want to make sure that whatever date you choose isn’t continuously being pushed back – or postponed.

After you’ve decided when you’re going to quit, it’s important to decide how you’re going to quit; this too is as equally as important. In turn, there are a number of treatment options to choose from – which is the main reason why it’s so important to do your research – and consult a medical professional. If you have a primary care doctor, then it would be smart to contact him/her so the two of you can figure out what best fits you. Not only that, but he/she will already have a knowledge of your medical history on file.

In conclusion, help is possible – especially if done through a well-devised plan. As a result, you’ll be on the road to recovery in no time – with the help of your family members and/or friends. As a result, when you’re going to quit – in addition to how you’re going to quit – are the two key stages you’ll want to develop before establishing your plan; it is only then that you can take the first step in the right direction.

Malnutrition In India

Malnutrition is defined by google as, “the lack of proper nutrition caused by not having enough to eat, not eating enough of the right things, or being unable to use the food that one does eat.” Sadly, a wide range of individuals located in impoverished countries find their health suffering as a result of such. For, many in first world countries eat three meals a day, along with snacks, indulge simply because they are bored, and/or even become accustomed to wasting food at a buffet when dining out-others don’t have such an opportunity. In fact, a number of factors can be a cause of malnutrition-no matter whether it be inaccessible or poor healthcare, poverty, etc.

In turn, one place in particular where malnutrition is prominent is India. “FAO estimates in ‘The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2018’ report, 195.9 million people are undernourished in India. By this measure 14.8% of the population is undernourished in India. Also, 51.4% of women in reproductive age between 15 to 49 years are anemic.” The saddest part of all is that, “more than one third of the world’s malnourished children live in India.” But, despite such misfortune, one fortunate solution comes in the form of Medical Tourism. For, in our modern day world those who are unable to get the health care that they need have began traveling out of their homeland and elsewhere to gain access to better medical resources that they might not have otherwise, in addition to receiving treatment for a cheaper price-and/or cost.

For, those who are unfamiliar with Medical Tourism, the term “refers to people traveling to a country other than their own to obtain medical treatment. In the past, this usually referred to those who traveled from less developed countries to major medical centers in highly developed countries for treatment unavailable at home.” Not only that, but it is steadily growing in India allowing more and more people to get the treatment, and/or medical attention that they so badly need.

In conclusion, the only way that malnutrition can be treated is through things such as dietary changes, which may include but is not limited to; vitamins and minerals, and/or high energy and protein. It is through these forms of treatment that the malnourished can find care-and most importantly hope-through the medical resources presented to them via Medical Tourism in a time in which they need it the most.
